Cameron MillsCongratulations to Affton High School senior Cameron Mills, who has been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program as a Commended Student.

Mills, son of Eric and Cindy Mills, is involved in the Business & Entrepreneurship strand of St. Louis CAPS, DECA, FBLA, the Board of Student Directors for St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank, Student Council, Key Club, Young Republicans, Chess Club, Debate Team, Theater, Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is the captain of the Cross Country team and is a member of the Track and Field team. Next year, he hopes to attend college at either Oklahoma State University or the University of Arkansas where he intends to study business.  

“Cameron excels in the classroom and serves in leadership roles for several student clubs and organizations,” said Dr. Tim Luecke, assistant principal at Affton High School. “He is an outstanding student representative of AHS, and we are confident he will have a bright future.”

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
